We coordinate and support development projects funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) under the national theme “Developing Services for Children, Young People and Families and Promoting Well-being Towards Equality.” The projects within this theme contribute to the specific objective 4.3 “Equal Participation” of the “Renewing and Competent Finland” programme. The preparatory ministries are the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
These nationally funded development projects under this theme operate in the fields of education and upbringing, social and health care, as well as leisure and recreational activities for children and young people. The aim of the projects is to enhance the competence of professionals and promote a culture of action that supports inclusion, equality, and gender equality. Special attention is given to identifying and supporting vulnerable groups in their everyday lives. The development work is multidisciplinary and involves children, young people, and families as the ultimate beneficiaries.
